I purchased this bundle in march w/o the warranty,but it still comes with a years warrenty through microsoft 
as long as you got the receipt, so im good. I only use the system when im bored. Im 27 years old and just bought 
the system because I couldnt find a ps3 in stores anywhere, plus the sales associate told me about a problem 
sony is having with a third party blah blah blah about their messed up hdd’s. I was disappointed, so I got this. 
Im satisfied with it at the moment, no complaints. I play MW2,LFD2 and BC2 for hours and no problems yet. I wasnt worried it 
didnt come with an HD Cable, because I bought the VGA cable for my LCD Monitor and witness 1080p HD. I have ethernet at 
my house so dont care about wireless, plus my whole entertainment,study and music set-up is in the basement. I rarely play 
the games it comes with because im not a halo or forza fan. I also bought the play and charge kit for $15 at gamestop. 

I would say the only thing that disappoints me is the limited games for the 360 with a good story line. All the games 
I own for the 360 are ok, but nothing to make we want to play again on a different difficulty setting. 

PROS: Graphics, online multiplayer, arcade games, controller feel, black color, some games 
CONS: To many racist people online along with kids whining, limited games with good stories, 

I think microsoft shouldn’t charge for themes and other simple add-ons as long as you own the game. 
And $15 for a map pack??? Come on now, at least $10 would be reasonable.

Amazing, Must-Buy Console!

The Xbox box 360 itself is truly an epic console but the only thing that gives a kick in the butt is that theres no built in wifi. That will cost another $90 out of your pocket. Good thing they included the Ethernet cable along. Xbox live has endless things you can do, buy games, watch netflix, ect. worth the 50 bucks. Halo was an “ok” game because the story mode is quite easy and lasting no longer than a day. On the other hand Forza Motorsport 3 was just addicting with tons of cars and tracks. (Only played both games once when writing this review. I played both console before but I would chose the xbox because of they amazing online (yea just wonderful). I know that the PS3 has blue ray but I mean I’ll get a blueray player for that. If you want console with no fees go with the PS3 I don’t blame you.

Great Fun – READ FOR IMPORTANT TIPS

Great system. Horrible tech support with Xbox. Here are some TIPS you need to know. 

1. Must download the game to the hard drive so that the disk won’t spin for hours making a racket. A no brainer to a kid, but since this is my first system ever, I would have thought the “computer” would have given me an option when I first put in the disc. You must navigate over to the library tab I think and load to hard drive. There after, the game runs fast and quietly from the system(still need the disc in the try however. 

2. When using the HDMI output(which is the only one you should be using picture wise) in order to get separate audio out to your receiver, you must pry apart the STUPID plastic connector the Xbox made in order for it to fit under the HDMI connector. Search Youtube on how to do it. The analog audio dongle with this unit will not provide 5.1 surround nor will the audio looped out of your tv’s digital outputs. The only way is to buy a separate digital audio dongle, which there are plenty of non Microsoft ones out there. 

3. With the audio dongle plugged in AND the HDMI cable, there is another issue. When you change inputs on your TV, it reboots the Xbox. On some of the cables, you must snip a wire inside the connector- lots of threads and pictures on the web on how to do it. 

4. Calling Xbox support for any help is pointless unless you’re looking for a good tandoori recipe. Utterly USELESS support there. I ended up having to Google everything on all the above problems. 

All in all a good fun item to eat up more of one’s precious free time. No wonder we’re all so busy!

Forza 3 is a very high-quality hybrid racer, part sim, part arcade racer (I found it to lean more towards the simulation, but the game options are very flexible), with lots of cars, tracks and upgrade content. If you like racers, it has a lot to offer. 

When taken together, this console is a killer deal, essentially throwing in two of the most popular games of 2009 for free. You can’t lose, especially if you need to replace an older, less reliable iteration of Microsoft’s sometimes-problem-fraught console. If you’re new to the Xbox 360, this is a fine way to get into the game, or more specifically, two of the best and most fun games available.

I remember when signing up with Intelliflix for $188 a year thinking what a great deal I just gotten, and how much money I was saving compared to the competition. Intelliflix claims to have over sixty thousand movie titles, rent video games, and also rent adult titles. I sincerely doubt that they have anywhere close to sixty thousand movie titles, and they have recently suspended their online game rentals. They still claim to rent other movie titles, but a couple of movies every few months, and it hardly seems like they even do that anymore.

For the first couple of months I received movies regularly, but then they stopped sending me movies. I went almost sixty days with well over a hundred movies in my queue without receiving one movie! They do not provide a customer service number and you have to open tickets through their email system. Of course when you get a response it will be about hoe they understand your frustration and will try to do better, but they still do not send movies on any timetable that could be considered regular. I go weeks without getting movies. I requested a refund more than once, but they claim they cannot refund annual memberships for any reason whatsoever. If it was not past the ninety-day mark I would dispute it with my credit card company. I even emailed the President of the company who boasted about publishing his email so regular customers could contact him. I received no response.

I have recently joined two other Online DVD Rental companies to see which one would work for me. I only will join at a monthly rate; I learned my lesson with annual plans. They are both excellent companies and actually sent me movies, and carried a wide variety of titles.

First let us look at Blockbuster Online. They have a tremendous amount of movie and television tiles and always have the newest releases. I usually received my movies in one business day. They also allow you to turn in your movies at local Blockbuster stores and give you free in store movie rental coupons every month. Their site is easy to navigate, and they also offer a trial period at a reduced fee. I took advantage of this offer to try them out.

The second company Netflix has just about everything put on DVD available for rental and all the new releases. One unique option they have is instant viewing online, and they are adding new titles to this service every month. I usually get my movies in one to two days. They also recently announced they will be offering a new service to play movies directly to people’s televisions at home through the Internet in the near future. Their site also has easy navigation and they also have the American Film Institute all time movie list which is great for movie buffs.

In summary look around at all the plans available, and do not sign up for an annual plan. Avoid Intelliflix at all cost. Both Blockbuster and Netflix are great companies, but in the end I stayed with Blockbuster simply because of their speed in sending me movies.

In general, the “hotter” a newly released movie is, the harder it is to rent. This is true at traditional brick-and-mortar video stores, and it’s also true when you rent movies online.

If the movie you want to rent is not immediately available, both Netflix and Blockbuster suggest how long your wait time will be when you add that movie to your rental queue. When you rent at Netflix, they use the terms “Short Wait”, “Long Wait”, and “Very Long Wait”.

According to Netflix, a “Short Wait” means your wait time to rent a movie will be less than two weeks. “Long Wait” means less than 30 days, and “Very Long Wait” means less than four months.

Another thing to keep in mind when you rent movies online, is what position you place the movie in your list. For example, if you list Harry Potter 6 at the very top of your favorites list, you will receive it sooner than if you rank it third or fourth.

How does Blockbuster compare to Netflix? Until recently, consumers still ranked Netflix above Blockbuster in the online movie rental business. But that may be changing. Currently, wait times for new releases at Blockbuster Online tend to be shorter than at Netflix.

That’s especially true when it comes to Blu-ray, because Blockbuster has a greater volume of Blu-ray discs than Netflix. And you may know that you get charged extra for Blu Ray at Netflix.

With Blockbuster, this is not the case. Blockbuster also has a list of high-demand new releases which are guaranteed to be in-stock, but Netflix does not offer such a guarantee.

Furthermore, Blockbuster’s “Guaranteed In-Stock” policy applies whether you rent movies online or from a store.

Blockbuster also offer game rentals. So if you like to play games, only blockbuster offer them.

How much do rental plans cost? Rental plans at both Netflix and Blockbuster cost the same. You can rent either 1, 2 or 3 movies at a time. These plans cost $8.99, $13.99 and $16.99. There are no late fees and you can keep the movie as long as you want with both companies. If you want to rent and return movies in store, Blockbuster will charge a little extra. These plans cost $11.99, $16.99 and $19.99 per month.

Why choose Blockbuster? If you’re deciding where to rent movies online, the availability of Blu-ray at no additional cost and the “Guaranteed In-Stock” policies are two good reasons to choose Blockbuster over Netflix.
